I did get some crafting for myself done this weekend at my "private crop"! I had to do something while my swap projects dried!

First up, I finished week 14 of my Inspiration Wednesday class. We were supposed to find some kind of character to use and I decided to use a drawing based on a doodle that my mother used to draw all the time when I was a kid. His name is something like Ungawa and I just remember she would doodle him everywhere! This week really made me remember my childhood so I enjoyed this week a lot!

I also did a three mini canvases - I had leftover paint from the journal page that I didn't want to waste! I love how they turned out!!

And then I did a project with one of my wedding photos. I had the Finnabair phone to use and I love how it turned out. I used some more of the leftover paint on it too.

All in all, I think I have a very successful and crafty weekend!

Well I pretty much had my own private weekend crop in my basement as I spent the ENTIRE weekend scrapbooking!! I had a whole bunch of swaps that are due by the end of the month and since I am going to be insanely busy for the last two weeks of the month I figured I should get them done. And I even did a few projects for myself in there too. I have such an understanding husband, as he didn't even complain that I was a hermit in the basement all weekend!

So my main goal this weekend was to get as many of the swaps I was signed up for finished. I had an altered tin swap to do for a group I am in called A Lil Scrap of Heaven. I took a Turtles Christmas tin and turned it into this:

I was glad I got it done and in the mail as I swapped with this girl last month and was late getting her the project I owed her. So this time I was early!

My next swap was for a new group I am in on Facebook called Chic Craftique. It was called Be Calm and Swag Bag On. We had to alter a bag and fill it with goodies. I loved this swap and my partner is in Puerto Rico! So cool - though alot more expensive on the shipping than I had anticipated, but seeing how excited my partner was with just the sneak peaks I sent it will be worth it (not to mention my store can use it as a write off!)

My next swap was international as well - this time going to the UK. I had fun making this one too and just hope it arrives in one piece!

And I got some Christmas Cards done for a swap I was in. I hope she likes them!

I feel really accomplished getting almost completely caught up on my swaps!

I got another journal page done too. This page was basically a place to use up my leftover sprays, inks and papers from several other projects. I had fun with it.

I got more goodies in the mail today. I so love Scraps of Elegance and Darkness and their monthly kits!!!

So I finished my junk journal for Brittany! I didn't realize how much work I was going to end up putting into it. But I think it turned out great -  I don't even want to give it away! LOL

Here are a few pics:

And since there was just so much to it, I ended up doing a video too.

I had a ton of fun doing it though - I think I might use a similar technique for the envelope mini album swap I am in!

Have a great day my crafty peeps!

I've been trying to get caught up on my swaps, so was working on a junk journal for someone. I don't normally keep my scraps of paper, but I do with my Steampunk paper and since I know my partner is a fan it worked out! I found a new technique for doing envelope albums on YouTube and have had fun making it.  This is my progress to date.
